Thanks so much Rowie! Love hearing the train set made it all the way to Melbourne and went down a treat with your grandson. Natural timber toys are getting harder to find, so it means a lot that you chose us. Enjoy, and say hi to the little engineer from Poppa! 🚂

Traditional Gift
Adrian gifted a beautiful wooden rattle to our first grandson 4 years ago. The rattle was passed onto his sister 2 years ago and is still in the family toybox. It is such a beautifully crafted rattle, comfortable in a baby's hands and tolerable of all the sucking that comes with babies growth. As toddlers the kids have continued to enjoy it and it will be a piece that should still be around for their children. Thank you Adrian for the thoughtful gift.
Sherryl Barker · 29 July 2026 · via website
Response from Poppa's Wooden Creations:
Thank you so much, Sherryl. It means a lot to hear the rattle has lasted through two grandchildren and is still going strong in the toybox — that's exactly what I hope for when I make these. Wishing your family many more years of use from it, and maybe a third generation one day. Thanks again for taking the time to share this.

Real wood use not from overseas
I am very delight to say I love everything Adrian has made for me.
Last few Christmas have given my family spoons, wooden spatulas.
My family requested wooden spoons made out of teak for salt and honey, didn’t want metal spoons contaminating the food.
Over the years Adrian has made for me at my request chopping board and spatula to flip my eggs and spoons for the family and I. I’ll loving my new spatula I gave Adrian a toxic plastic spatula and he made me a wooden one as best to match the plastic one. I love how it’s thin and long handle and sits off from the bench (has a raised bump on handle) and I can now flip my eggs.
Nothing is too big or small for Adrian I loved how he worked with my fussiness to get what I wanted. I love the fact that Adrian uses wood from NZ that is not contaminated.
You get the real deal with Adrian | Poppa;s Wooden Creations.
Thank you Adrian all your products will live on in my family years to come.
I recommend any wanting good clean contaminate free wooden kitchen products from Adrian.

Response from Poppa's Wooden Creations:
Thank you so much, Erica — what a wonderful review, and what a joy it is to read! It truly means the world to me that my pieces have become part of your family's everyday life across multiple Christmases. I especially loved the challenge of recreating your spatula — getting that thin blade, the long handle, and the little raised bump just right so you could finally flip your eggs the way you wanted was exactly the kind of project I enjoy most. Nothing makes me happier than working through the details with someone until it's perfect.
Your trust in native NZ timber and your commitment to keeping your family's kitchen free from plastics and contaminants is something I deeply respect — it's exactly why I do what I do. To know these pieces will be passed down through your family for years to come is the greatest compliment a craftsman could receive.
Thank you for your continued support over the years, Erica. It's customers like you who make Poppa's Wooden Creations so rewarding. 🙏

Stunning Craftsmanship
I love Poppa and his creations! He is very talented indeed. The wooden toys are magical! Children adore them. The myriad of other creations surprise and delight. Jewellery boxes, kitchen items, pens and wooden jewellery, all produced with incredible skill. The chopping boards are not just practical, but beautiful works of art - I simply love using my purple heart chopping board, my other boards are rarely used these days. Poppa makes items on request (with design specs) and happily adjusts things if required, e.g a hole in the back of a cross so it can be hung on the wall. The wood is beautifully turned, and colours/grains are cleverly matched to enhance their designs. Wonderful gifts - for children, adults or yourself. I highly recommend Poppa's Wooden Creations.
