About Poppa's Wooden Creations

Handcrafted in Whangarei Since 2015

Poppa's Wooden Creations is a New Zealand family business operated by Adrian Barber from our workshop at 102 Kiripaka Road, Tikipunga, Whangarei. We have been handcrafting premium wooden toys and kitchenware from native New Zealand timber since 2015.

Every single product we sell is made by hand in our Whangarei workshop. We are not a dropshipper or reseller — we craft every toy and kitchenware item ourselves using native NZ timbers including Kauri, Rimu, and Macrocarpa.

Our Materials

We use only premium native New Zealand timbers — Kauri, Rimu, and Macrocarpa — sourced responsibly from NZ suppliers. All finishes are non-toxic and food-safe, making our products safe for babies, toddlers, and use in the kitchen.

Supplied to Schools

We've supplied our wooden toys to schools across New Zealand. We design our toys with open-ended, imaginative play in mind — encouraging children to explore, create, and learn through play.
