This chunky little hippo is shaped and sanded smooth by hand, with rounded edges that are gentle in tiny hands and satisfying to grip, shake and explore. Finished with natural beeswax, it has a soft, silky feel and a warm glow that brings out Rimu’s rich red-brown tones. Every rattle has its own natural grain, so no two hippos are ever quite the same. At just 85 g, it’s light enough for little ones to hold and wave on their own, while its solid 20 mm thickness makes it sturdy enough to handle years of play.
